I can't help but feel if your problems can be solved by hashtags then your problems probably aren't very important.
Sargon of Akkad, the Queen of GamerGate.[1]

GamerGate was a grassroots movement initially sparked from the goal of supporting ethics in game journalism, though it over time accumulated other goals with GamerGate being the source of many credible charity fundraisers. As of 2016, anyone still related to the discussion GamerGate is trying to beat this dead, flaccid horse for all it's worth.

Many of the pro-GamerGate crowd are adamantly against social justice warriors, though this doesn't always have to be the case. As a result, some feminists have claimed it is a hateful and misogynistic movement, which was actually the line spun by the lamestream media the entire time. Despite being unable to fulfill the burden of proof on GamerGate's inherent relation to any sexism, big news networks have offered professional victims the sustenance they so desire by giving a platform for them to talk about their "horrible" experiences with all the supposed bigoted fucks in the movement.

Some of the crazier and radical feminists blame the movement's actions on everything from; disagreeing with Samus being trans, every shooting in recent history, not giving Elsa a girlfriend, bomb threats sent to GamerGate meetups or discussions, the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, original sin, etc. Even regular people like Shoe0nHead point out how ridiculous their grievances are.

GamerGate was also a pretty heated topic within the YouTube community with people like The Investigamer, Mercedes Carrera, and Mr. Repzion all talking about it on their own channels. As a result, GamerGate was a topic of discussion during their time on Drunken Peasants, with Mercedes Carrera and AlphaOmegaSin providing a ton of information during their time. Somehow, TJ still doesn't entirely understand what it's about, even though he has been told multiple times what it is about and even had a video about it uploaded to his channel by a guest.

As mentioned above, the whole debacle has been frequently mentioned by key guests. It was mostly prominently discussed during episode 133, in which the hosts reviewed a video about GamerGate for the Troll or Not a Troll segment.

The Truth About GamerGate

The truth is GamerGate is actually about ethnics in gaming journalism (what a twist!).
