Rules and Guidelines
| The following is a set of general rules and guidelines for being a productive member of the Drunken Peasants Wiki.|
Please make sure to read them all!
1. Don't be a swollen cunt
This wiki is firmly in support of insults in the name of good fun. However, we do not support any sort of doxing, or illegal activity, etc.
2. Cooperate with the staff
The staff on the wiki are far from infallible, but we tend to know more about the wiki than the average user. It makes things easier for everyone, including yourself, if you work with us. If you really think an Admin is being unfair then you can contact the Head Admin, the Founder, or the Webmaster, the arbiters of fairness.
Also, if you have an idea for a major overhaul to a page, please clear it with a staff member first.
3. Use proper grammar
Something that the wiki has a huge problem with is shitty spelling, run-on sentences, and overall mediocre English. You don't have to be a scholar, but please at least receive a second grade education before attempting to add content to the wiki. Also if you happen to live in any European country, Canada, or Australia, Eurofag spellings like centre or civilised are allowed.
4. Leave the infrastructure alone
Unless you have something awesome that can only be done in source code, please leave these things to the professionals. More often than not, inexperienced users unintentionally leave pages in shambles when they mess with these things.
5. Category policy
Don't create a new category without asking permission from a staff member.
Don't add irrelevant categories just because you think it's funny, do not add non-existent categories (Meaning a category that doesn't has a category page created for it. You can usually notice this by the red link the category produces.), do not create new categories(unless the staff allowed it), and don't add categories to user profiles.
The violation of any of these category policies counts as a category abuse which is harshly punished on this wiki due to our past dealings with frequent category abusers.
6. Page policy
Don't create a new page without asking permission from a staff member.
Pages have to be relevant to the Drunken Peasants Podcast somehow. For example, being featured on the show, or frequent mentions on the show, or related in some other form (e.g. “On Drunken Peasants”, “On Amazing Atheist”, “On Creationist Cat”, or "On Hugo & Jake” etc.).
Although there are exceptions. A few pages that are not directly ԀP related, but only tangentially related, are allowed on the wiki if they are funny and/or well written and/or informative, but the permission for the creation of those pages have to be requested at a staff member.
- Help the website work, including essential features like logging in.
- Store your preferences, so that they can be remembered the next time you use the site,
- Collect information about how you use our website and about your interests, age, gender, general location, language, ISP, operating system, and web browser. We have no way of telling who specifically this information applies to and we do not use this information for anything besides improving your user experience, as we do not have advertisements on our website.
- Render services provided by third parties, such as the Discord widget or the visitor globe etc. When a third party provides these kinds of services, they may require the use of a cookie in order to provide their services.
These are things almost every other website does.
8. Read and follow the rules of the chat
If you decide to join the Offical DP Discord chat (which we highly recommend), then make sure that you read all the rules in the #rules-and-guidelines text channel. If you follow those rules you will not have to worry about the wrath of the ban hammer. You will have fun and interesting discussions with other fans, and you might even have a chance to talk with the Peasants themselves who are in the chat. It's also one of the best and fastest ways to get in contact with any of the wiki staff should you have any questions or concerns.
9. NSFW Material Policy
Do not add NSFW material to a page unless it is actually relevant to the article. We don't want our wiki to become littered with porn. Keep it to pages that actually are related to such material, i.e. Mercedes Carrera and BeyondPhere.
Any page to contain such content is to be clearly marked with the NSFW template at the top of the page. We don't want anyone getting in trouble for porn at school or at work because of our wiki.
10. Please don't use the old wiki
Since you are on this wiki you've probably noticed that there are two DP wikis: One on Wikia (drunken-peasants-podcast.wikia.com) and this new independent wiki. The Wikia DP wiki is our older wiki that we have left many months ago due to the fascism of Wikia, and to have better control over our wiki. We bought our own server and domain and built this site. The old DP wiki on Wikia is not maintained anymore by the staff, and it's not supported by the Peasants either, it's unoffical. The reason we have not deleted it is because the dickheads at Wikia are greedy cucks and don't allow it. Anytime you want to go on the DP Wiki please use this one.
11. Involuntary servitude
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
That's pretty much it. If you adhere to these rules and guidelines, you probably won't have any problems here. Have a blessed day, faggots.
